The International Air Transport Association (IATA) estimates that payment fraud costs the airline industry about $858 million per year, of which $639 million is borne by airlines.

For an industry that is squeezed on every side by the increasing cost of raw materials, scarce talent, stringent government norms, and stiff competition from each other, the last thing airline companies want is a big dent in their balance sheet because of fraudulent transactions.

Fighting fraud in the airline industry is a top priority for organisations across the world. With the availability of modern fraud detection technology, airlines now stand a fighting chance against their savvy opponents.

Airline transaction fraud is not just a problem for the companies affected; it has a ripple effect on people and organizations that are associated with these companies.
